Yesudas grants Dheena’s wish

Singer Yesudas, the man whose minstrelsy has bowled over many a heart, has held the mike once again for a Tamil flick. After his popular number for Illayaraja in Nandhalala, the singer has lent his voice for a film with music composed by Dheena.

The film, called ‘Vedigundu Murugesan’, has Pasupathi playing the lead role, and through this film, Dheena has fulfilled his long term wish. “I always wanted to do a song that he can sing for, and there was such a song a few years ago, for ‘Pori’. I had approached the singer, but it turned out to be impossible as Yesudas was then in the US,” says the composer who has made him sing in ‘Vedigundu Murugesan’.

The song has been written by Yugabarathi, whose songs with Dheena earlier have been big hits.
